Old Nagano color 3-Car Set. The 115 series 1000 series was introduced as a replacement for older trains such as the 70 and 80 series, based on the 115 series 300 series, with enhanced cold and snow resistance equipment. 

The 115 series old Nagano color is based on cream No. 10 in 1989 after the establishment of JR East, yellow green No. 7 expressing the refreshing mountain green, and red No. 2 expressing the autumn leaves and the warmth of Nagano citizens.

The minimum running radius is very compact with R95.
