New Nigata color 3-Car Set. The 115 series 1000 series was introduced as a replacement for older trains such as the 70 and 80 series, based on the 115 series 300 series, with enhanced cold and snow resistance equipment. 

Series 115 Shin-Niigata color is the paint applied to the series 115 operated in the Niigata area, which has undergone renewal work such as replacement with a single arm pantograph. 

The minimum running radius is very compact with R95.
